As a Medior Analyst, you play a central role in this. You conduct independent research, structure complex information, and translate it into clear, well-founded analyses. You work on projects for governments and businesses that require insight, interpretation, and actionable perspective. Along the way, you further develop toward specialization within the intelligence domain.

What will you do?

As a Medior Analyst, you work independently on analytical assignments within projects. You combine research skills with analytical thinking and contribute directly to the quality of our services. Within this role, the emphasis lies on developing your skills as an intelligence analyst. You go beyond merely gathering information and focus on interpretation, meaning, and looking ahead:

• Understanding why developments are taking place and which underlying patterns and drivers are at play.
• Independently carrying out research and analysis assignments within defined projects.
• Translating research questions into structured analytical frameworks and sub-questions.
• Gathering, assessing, and combining information from various sources.
• Testing reliability, identifying bias, and cross-checking information.
• Applying hypothesis formation, trend analysis, scenario thinking, and other analytical methodologies.
• Writing clear analytical products following fixed structures (such as BLUF) that contribute directly to projects.
• Translating information into implications, risks, and possible scenarios for decision-making.
• Capturing insights, lessons learned, and contributing to internal knowledge development.

You work in a structured manner, substantiate your conclusions with evidence, and deliver products that can be used directly with minimal adjustments.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an analyst with a clear foundation in the intelligence or research domain, who can work independently and bring structure to complex information. You recognize yourself in the following profile:

• 2—3 years of relevant work experience within intelligence, research, analysis, or a comparable environment (for example government, defence, consultancy, or law enforcement).
• HBO or WO working and thinking level.
• Experience in conducting structured research and processing information from multiple sources.
• The ability to translate complex information into clear, well-founded insights and implications.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to write in a clear and analytical manner.
• Analytical, critical, and careful in handling (sensitive) information.
• Familiar with or demonstrably interested in intelligence methodologies and processes.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English; command of one or more additional foreign languages is a clear advantage.

In addition, we would like to see an affinity with the role of AI and automation within analytical work:

• Interest in how AI tools can support and accelerate analytical work.
• The ability to remain critical of AI output and validate it within an analytical process.
• Affinity with structuring and automating research processes (for example through low-code tools such as make.com, smart agents, or Python).

You are curious about how technology is changing the work of analysts, but never lose sight of the importance of diligence, source criticism, and analytical quality.
